How
effortless
it seems sometimes
to make battle
or wage a war
with a common cold
all this tirade
so eager
not to be a tyrant
and so eager
to stuff tissues
in my gaping nostrils
hopelessly trying
to clog
each ruction tunnel
I say
lemon juice
and sea salt
are best to stir
a citrus opiate.
