Sometimes speaking can't suffice
Or hold weight to the words
That want to be said
We bare this substance
In our hearts, a dense gravity
Pressuring our hatch doors
And as the liquid trickles in
Our vessels sink under
Sheer mass of shared tears
What have we to say unto others
Which we will not utter to ourselves?
If we are not who we say we are...
To recollect on our past
And mirror it to our present self
We cannot amount to what should have been.
Instead we must keep steady and move forward
Marching beyond the beat and speaking loud
And if screams come out, let the world hear them anyway.
