How you once were,
Broken ivory cur
Now left to die unfurled
In an ever transgressing world
That has withered your form
With blunder and war
And times passed
Funded into the vast
Along with men abound
Planted benevolent in the ground
And timely thoughts recalled
To their ages installed
Whether right or wrong
Found their place to belong
Have all but left you to shambles
Victim to destined gambles
By humanity’s unaustere devices
We’ve paid in insurmountable prices
And all you can do is stand alone
A world of retention locked in stone
Oh how you’ve been wilted by human err,
Lovely and sad, broken ivory cur
