Isn't it strange
That America's symbol of liberty and freedom
Crowned woman
Torch held high in New York Harbor
And the symbol of justice throughout the world
Gowned woman
Scales balanced in each hand
Have not motivated mankind to grant equality to the
Flesh and blood women
Mothers, sisters, wives, daughters
Who share their lives?
