I was there ahead of this babe being born,
It was hoped to be natural in the early morn.
I looked after Devon with tea, bath, and bed,
With the new babe to come in the hours ahead.
A Caesarian section as the child lay transverse,
Was the opinion of the Specialist and Nurse.
At three forty-seven a.m. a son, Taylor, the outcome,
Exhausted but pleased were his Dad and his Mum
