Are they plucked from our hands
From an unseen unmerciful God?
Does the criminal pay for his crime enough?
Far less, I say, than the victims pay
In childrne's innocence, cruelty lies.
I weep in my sorrow for something so wrong
I cry for the lost fallen angels gone
Taken, perhaps, to a batter place
With an omnipotent judge who is jury too
He'll judge the one who has no conscience
My heavy heart hears, an echo of cries
For those who've fallen to their demise
Beneath the earth, .... innocence lies.

Barely Beyond the Dawn
Still, stark waters and frightened souls
A silent smoldering rage sits silently in
A haunting, hard chill.
Our soldiers go proudly into, the night
For fallen angels and anguished survivors
And heroes who fell to their death again
So silently, so swiftly, the enemy stalks.
Softly yet strongly, our leaders also weep
He cradles our fears in a river or tears
Softly I cry through a wall built of rage.
Why, I ask why, did sacrificial victims die
There sings the ghost, of a long lost child
Death has no breath, the last one lost, to
powers unknown.
