Snowblinded and frostbitten
I retreat from the Siberian man
Thawing
Toward a new spring
Of an old love
I arrive wet and bedraggled
To the realm of a familiar hearth
An oasis of kindness and warmth
Welcomes
My restless injured spirit
I kneel humbled by your steady fire
Where I quietly begin to heal and see again
Your warm gentle heart
Where once I had loved
So fiercely
And lost in a winters storm
Of my discontent
