If I could be, what I want to be
I would be, the love that you seek.
If I would be, what you think of me
I would be, never so mild and meek.
If I should be, what you want to see
I should never cry but only look with glee.
If my meekness and sadness
Has never made you realize my love for you.
I think it’s time for me
To be only what I can be.
