When I awake in the morning
I think of your beautiful, sweet face and it makes me smile.
When I’m feeling weary
your tender words of comfort and support give me the strength to carry on.
When I’m having a difficult day
I miraculously receive an email from you and suddenly I’m laughing.
When something wonderful happens
you’re the first one I want to tell about it.
When I read stories of love and friendship
I immediately think of you.
When it seems like I receive nothing in the mail but bills and advertisements
you send me a letter and a package filled with goodies.
When I see an exquisite sunset
I wish you were there to share it with me.
When I hear a beautiful song that touches me
I want you to hear it so it can touch you too.
When something makes me cry
you wrap your arms around me and tell me that everything will be alright.
When I try to think of a way to let you know how much you mean to me
I write you a poem.
