The daffodils now show their heads
Above the soft brown earth
Their yellow wing like petals
Show the glory of their worth
They spread like grains upon the land
A ray of golden sun
To shine and wave in mid-day breeze
That spring has just begun
Their pleasant scent now wafts abroad
To dance upon the air
And wave to all the passers by
Their beauty now to share.
