You were a friend to me until
My 20's
Since then, you have been polite sometimes
And a bastard the rest of the time.
Worst thing is, I remember your children
When they were children
Now that growing up is finished
I wouldn't know them if you pointed them
Out to me.
God, what a waste of time
If my father did not keep on telling me
You were my brother, you would be lost to me.
And for that, I have always wished a reunion.
All these years with good times and bad times
You were absent, in my thoughts and dreams.
And everyday, you angered me with your absence.
I'm lost to you and you to me.
It seems to late for reconcilliation.
Maybe it's because I am so different
To you.
And years ago you cast me adrift.
