You went,
A name without a face,
A name on everyone's lips,
Saying `Never more to pass unchallenged
Through the huddled halls of a high school',
Saying his parents had the strength of God and Hercules,
For him lying with his diploma
And flying his wings.
When you were young
Could you have ever known how
You would bring whole sobbing towns into a single room
To remember you and sing your praise,
Or how even strangers would shave their heads for you?
And now you are gone.
