Ripples of thought
A kingfisher dives to feed: Ripples spread concentrically.
My mind and eyes are both agreed, this is beautiful to see
The bird is fed and satisfied: Returns to his favourite tree.
The pool regains placidity, its surface now clear and still
I watch and wait reflectively; the bird and I have free will
We act according to our will. The pond re acts passively.
The pond reflects and I reflect we both reflect but differently
I reflect on what I see, the pond reflects the evening sky
The kingfisher will digest his evening meal safe in his nest.
