Three years ago today
A ray of glorious sunshine arose
To meet its calling
To brighten the life of two women
Your mother and I
I look upon you now
And see many more happy days to come
My darling little grandson
The joy you have brought in these three years
Could not be contained in this world
But only in the heart
Of the grandmother that loves you so
Three years this very day
Butterfly wings have taken flight
Through highs and lows
Your motion has captured my site
and captivated every single moment
From A distance I watch
Feeling the Love of such innocence
Steps of an angel grace
Unsure of destination yet willfully
Without doubt of question steps forward
So on this day
The celebration of such spirited soul
My spirit fills with sweet sentiment
Of the grandchild/of my child
And the graceful presence given to both....
