What is this world coming to?
It's worse than all my fears
The destruction of our forefathers'
blood, sweat and tears.
Endless wars shouldn't be a
billion dollar industry
Arm the enemies then kill them
doesn't free a country
Hate crimes in OUR time? ?
Ignorance is bliss
Poverty and the filthy rich
Something's definitely amiss
Think of what we leave our
children as our legacy...
lest they're bound to follow our
unabashed complacency
Their future's so uncertain
who knows what fate they'll fall,
but it is certain our inaction will
be the undoing of us all
So get up, stand up, stop acting
like a bunch of deaf/mute mimes,
and identify this for what it is-
The crisis of our times.
