Here again,
alone I lie
What I wouldn't do to
have you by my side
Often times I'd imagine this
or the magic within
that very first kiss...
I'd touch your face
and then you'd smile
We'd enjoy each other's
company for awhile
We've already discovered
our common ground...
so how is it we get from ' just friends'
to 'fooling around'?
But, hey, I always skip that part...
I wouldn't know the first
thing on how THAT starts
and get to the part
as to what we'd do
if I ever had the pleasure
of being alone with you.
Imagining the heat of your body
as I'd feel you near
making my heart race,
the blood rushing to my ears
I'd feel suddenly panicked
as short-lived as it is
because you'd take it away
with your incredible kiss
I'd feel you want me
see it in your eyes
our bodies move together
perfectly, to our surprise
My heart quickens and I
can't catch my breath
Getting now why the
French call this 'little death'
You're so gentle in
the way you move too
rocking me until that
feeling comes over you
Then you'd grab me and
draw me near
just so you could say the words
I've wanted to hear....
...but that's when my cold
reality comes crashing through
I'm all alone and
haunted with these thoughts of you
You're not here
and still alone here I lie,
What is it that I wouldn't do
to have you by my side?
