Faeries lie
And tell mortals
They care not
For it, yet
In truth
They sprinkle
Sand behind
Their backs as
They cannot be
Without love
But of a few moments
So when she
Began to dance
Her sparkling slippers
Threw out beams
Of unbridled excitement
Her legs kicked out
Like a bawdy vaudevillian
Her big wide
Infectious smile
Blushed the lot
For me it was
Hopeless, that is
The day I fell
In love with Tink
And she swore
She never used
Any magic on me
Any false ore, maybe
A special wink
So delicate
My memory
So faint those
Gossamer wings
Infusing life
Overflowing joy
Oh, occasionally, undoing
An odd seam
No matter
Now for I will
Always love her
Just the same, unlifted
She did lie, then
Merged into stargold
The color of shooting stars over prairie fire
Now at the wind
I no longer turn
Her laugh
I know I hear
Was easily
Higher
Tailor Bell
