We walk along the shadowed path
In search of wisdom's valued light,
Uncertain footsteps lightly tread
That faded line 'tween day and night;
No blazing beacon welcomes us,
The path is long and winding -
Does instinct push us ever on,
Is truth the gift worth finding?
Obstacles make passage slow,
Sometimes require climbing -
The hills and valleys mark our days,
Rewards rely on timing;
Perhaps today the light will shine,
No clouds will mar the glowing -
Sweet progress made along the way
Bask in the warmth of knowing;
Come walk along this shadowed path
There is no need to worry,
So many gifts beyond each turn -
Remember not to hurry.
