Hesitant flakes begin to fall
Unique they land on gardens all
A single sheet to neatly lay
For young at heart a friend for play
A stealthy feline's tracks appear
The cat wants in, she makes that clear
Infinite volume and grace
Crisp deposits transform the place
Depth soon reaches many an inch
Kids looking for Mum's hat to pinch
The finishing touch to their plan
To build the estate's best snowman
When we've had our share of snow
A biting wind begins to blow
A swirling cloud of blinding white
Combats the onset of the night
Shifting low mountains have been made
For weary workers through to wade
More drive home not glad it's snowed
With queues and carnage on the road
The problems that snowfalls do cause
Follow a couple of simple laws
From young to old the problems grow
Pleasure starts high and ends up low.
