Her voice spends the entire day in my head
telling me what I should know about the evils
of mayonnaise and bacon without mention of
the many benefits of lettuce and tomato....
Schooling me on the empty carbs and calories
contained in these burgers and beer
never noting that I most always skip dessert.....
Her voice is constantly in my head as with each bite
she takes another pound off my ass
nagging me to exercise and go for a walk
she weighs my consumption with triple beams
precisely and then distributes them to charities
where little children with their faces covered in flies
will most likely die as a result of my starvation....
Her voice spent the entire day in my head today
confirmation of her love for me with or without
the obesities of my maleness......
