The summer comes
And you're not here
What do I do
When you're nowhere near
I cant see you or touch
Your pale colored skin
I cant look at the brown eyes
That draw me close in
I cant kiss your soft lips
You cant hold me in your arms
I feel so lost
And unsafe from harm
I need you right here
Right by my side
I won't have to run
I won't have to hide
I remember the times
The laughter we shared
The little things you did
To show me you cared
But the summer no longer comes
It can't shine in your deep brown eyes
As my world gets sucked out
And the soul in me dies
Your lips are now silenced
Your arms cross your heart
The 6 feet of ground
That keeps us apart
All I have now
Are the memories inside
My cheeks are now pale
From all the tears that I've cried
I lay a black rose
As a sign of my love
Then release from my hands
A purely white dove
I pray to God
To show me a sign
Turn the rose red
To show he's still by my side
I turn away
Thought race in my head
I turn back around
And the rose is now red
