I`m just an old fashioned
sort of a guy
I write my verse
in an old fashioned way
Cant do it different
how ever I try
Am I a poet?
I really cant say.
Ive been called a rhymester
and maybe they`re right
They say that my stuff
is vulgar and naff
And that may be true
if not impolite.
But if I can make
just a few people laugh
I feel that it isn`t
labour in vain,
To write my verse
in the old fashioned style,
I know the amount
of pleasure I gain,
If my verse makes
but just one person smile.
