I finally found it
a way to exist
I way to live
live without regrets
live the way you said I should
for I did that today
I live without regrets
I was as if it set me free
I was suddenly released
the pressure was lifted
it was as if I suddenly got the strength
to break my chains
the chains that held me down
down in the darkness
I finally found a way to that all
I found the secret to me
I can no longer fear my beast
I can no longer fight my beast
I must embrace it
for when I fight it
I fight myself
for it is part of me
for today I embraced it
and just like that it gave me the strength
the strength to break these chains
it gave me the strength to continue this search
the search for me
the real me
but it gave me the map
the map to be
for now I can see
see the way
the way to me
for today I felt different
I was no longer felt depressed
I felt so different
but yet the same
I felt like I found a part of me
for I felt like me
I no longer was in pain
I was no longer being clawed from the within
for now I feel
different
I feel safe
I feel warm
for I am protected when I’m in its furry embrace
my beasts embrace
for it has become a part of me
for now we work as one
no more fighting for control over each other
for we are finally united
I am finally in total control
for when I embraced it
I became in control
it was no longer controlling my life
for now it is over
for my war within is finally over
