Son:
Father I am no coward but I do feel fear
You tell me I will do well but the battle grows near
Knowing this is how it has always been
Is not a help I am only fourteen
Father:
Now my son I know you fear
The words I say you do not want to hear
But this is your heritage this is our way
All men and boys do battle its only women who stay
Son:
Father I can’t believe that you knew fear
I have seen you hurt with out even a tear
O what will it be like to see you slay?
To see them crushed under foot on the floor they would lay
Father:
For as long as time this is how it has been
At your age I remember I had fear I was not keen
When I was your age I so my first kill
I know my son it haunts me still
Son:
Why do we live this way why do we fight?
If we kill all how can that be right
I know my father to battle I must go
Standing by your side as we destroy our foe
Father:
We are warriors that’s how we live
We never surrender no quarter do we give
So my son into battle we must go
To vanquish our enemies to destroy the foe
