I just lost my best friend
She was quite close to my heart
But right now I feel like
I lost a body part
At school as I was walking to my class
She said she didn’t want to be with me anymore
I broke down in front of her
My throat was all soar
She said I could come with her and her new friend
But I let out a sad smirk
I said I wanted only one best friend
Two best friends wouldn’t work
Now I am here at school
Writing this poem sitting on a bench
I wish there is any way
For my sadness to quench.
