Like the touch of an old friend
She softly whispers
In the faint familiar voice
And I awaken
To a steadfast stillness
That passes over me
Like the crest of snow
And that winter air
So cold and isolating
Confounded by circumstance
Yet held firmly by confusion......
Why does she awaken my sleep
To old friends that I meet.....
