I'm standing on the edge
I'm screaming to be free
I'm slipping off this ledge
This may be the end for me
But what will come
Be as it may
Will not stop life
On such a day
My body, though fragile indeed
Has something far more invincible
Deep, deep inside of me
My body is physical
But what I speak of is not
Though my life will end
My idea's will not
For idea's do live through many souls
But though an idea will never be truly dismissed
A life to be forgot is what I dearly miss
For you cannot kiss an idea
An idea cannot love
It cannot feel
It has no warmth nor soul
But it is not an idea that I miss
But a life
It is a sore thing to leave
A poor thing to forget
It is this life
That I truly love best
