Dear Lord, I pray for your forgiveness this day.
Dear Lord, forgive those who do not pray.
Times are strange, to me, each day I wake.
News brings much hate, troubled times to take.
The world has become a different place to live.
Even though your beloved Son, you did give.
He was born around these days, season of the year.
He brings so much joy to all that believe so clear.
We witness so many losses of ones from our heart.
You saw his demise, how it must have tore you apart.
We celebrate his birth very soon, with endearing love.
I know in my heart he is with you, in Heaven above.
Along with all the others who stand tall and believe,
Your forgiveness is forever, for each of us to receive.
