They say about getting high
after having a drink too many.
I managed to get high
without participating in a drop.
I had a bad back, muscles twisted.
The meds they put me on
cured my back Ok,
but made me drunk as a skunk.
I staggered around the house,
my speech became slurred
and that was without even taking a drink,
unless spiked my water
without me knowing about it.
I had to use my walking stick
to stop me falling over.
Have stopped taking the meds,
I hope there is no hangover attached,
but we’ll just have to wait and see.
