born of soft clay
placed upon a wheel
spun through time
in the cycle of life
the hand holding
the power within
keeping me from caving
keeping me strong enough
to withstand life’s beatings
imperfections smoothed out through time
life’s rough times molding me
into the vase I am
the one I am meant to be
