Supposing
the ultimate, unadorned
truth, in all its stripped
down splendour,
is after all,
a supposition?
II
Whatever we're acquainted
with, and may conceptualise,
constantly reforming in our minds;
inventing myths. Do we imagine
dragons as a result of seeing
Gila monsters seeking shade
from the scorching Sierra's Sun
at mid-day, as we share Ghost
stories beside the campfire?
