One friday by the pier
Bag in hand, and another
Above the clock struck vier*
Remained two people still under
Torn apart by war
Yet underneath one heaven
Jove could not mar
Their hearts in tune so even
'Come back soon' she whispered
Knowing it might not be
Sadness around it lingered
bringing him to his knees
'One day I'll find my way
From that forsaken place
Back here now come what may
Till then we must embrace
All aboard! now, I must leave
This ring i keep with me
If you wait like i believe
In time it'll stay on thee.

Belonging to one forlorn
