She tells tales
of all the sins
she has committed
(adding on an extra flourish)
to impress
the priest.
She the innocent
capable only of loving.
She asks me if
“...picking your nose is a sin? ”
“Well, it’s not a mortal sin
but.. why? ”
“All during confession
the priest was picking his nose.
and when he gave me
one Our Father & three Holy Mary’s
he looked
at it
and
ate it! ”
