Dear Mom,
I don't know what would make you happy
To let go of who i am and give you a better me
To make my flaws vanish in a second just for your reasons
And hide my mistakes, trying to be a perfect person
How you kill me with your degrading words
With anxiety and fear i give up, putting myself backwards
Why aren't i good enough?
Isn't me that you love?
Now i search for a place of acceptance, of comfort a place where i feel safe enough to be me
Creating my own world, my reality
Just to escape you and your standards of 'THE PERFECT', not the good
How you make me hate myself In your laws of motherhood
Please mom, just tell me it's 'ME' that you love
Even if am not everything you wish i was
