Surprise Me!

Nithin Pradeep - The Lost Friend

2014-11-07 2 Dailymotion

He was lost in the depths of my
random thoughts and an unfathomed heart
He shall only be a memory; the tryst
was unkept and promises in shambles

Be it not a journey to eternity
but a mere cause to rekindle
the latent spirits of a miserable heart
Seeking purity of a friendship
resting in my impulsive thoughts
Only if I had this friend forever....
who dared speak his heart, not brain
Mending my thoughts and rejuvenating from it
a passion; a new belief; a sense of life
Rescuing me from the sombre mood of solitude
and from the hands of soft-spoken and the meretricious multitude
into his tempting world of agony and joy
As he exhorts and as I exhilarate
and as both develop empathy
leading each other, facing same music
I wish I had this friend forever...

But as your soul dissolved in me,
I lost track of you....
in the spilt of a lazy wink of ignorance,
I lost your passionate heart throb

In search I've spent an eternity
dragged into the hands of a harsh fate
as the sight of rivals intimidate me
his absence making me vulnerable
staining my eyes at the tiniest of defeats,
crumbling under the pressure,
I curse myself for losing him...
Taking every step in the path of destiny,
revealing the pin-pricks of harsh realities...
The stinkinking hate replaces the scent of tenderness...
But making the move on
for somewhere he's lost in his own hell
two blind friends strech their arms for aid
to embrace the needs of a misplaced friendship
as I wish-if I had this friend forever..
