A long night ahead, I fear
With all these demons
Racing about and
Screeching in my head
All those broken moments
That were strung together
All those wasted tears, wasted kisses
All those stolen dreams and
Decimated wishes
Conspire against me
Time and again
Every moment moves me
In directions I cannot know
Just like
Every heartbeat beats me
For every single crime
Cracks in the bathroom mirror
Hide lines on my face
Just like
This stormy afternoon
Concealed
The betrayal of my pain
As I smiled through these tears and
Struggled to maintain
Until I some time later
When I can retire
To the discomfort of my bed
Where the fear always finds me
And the anger always follows
