I envy the water
It has been from the beginning
It feeds life to keep the living living
It quenches and it satisfies
It makes a seed into an old tree grow
It is always willing to go lower
Yet it can fall from the sky
It runs down mountains
And flies on the breeze
In the tide of the ocean
It rises high and crashes down
Like the chest of a lion
Breathing heavily as it sleeps.
It's with you when you weep.
