not too emotive
easy on the tongue
and ably swallowed
with a morning cup of coffee
Do not shout, dear
Do not raise your voice...
Stay behind your mask of
half-sleep
half-words
low whispers
Let us have our coffee
Let us pour the sugar and
the milk just so...
without spilling a
single drop
or grain of emotion.
