Her fingertips reached across & caressed
as her cheek brushed against his imaginary chest.
Her lips parted, she closed her eyes
as his presence filled her room, she was mesmerized.
The warmth of his body so close, heart pounding,
was it his breathing or hers so resounding.
And when she awoke from a blissful sleep
He was not there, but in her memory to keep.
