Amber lights what do they do
Will drivers ever know?
Not many think they mean to stop
Most think they mean to go
When traffic lights start changing
From red the engines roar
A little amber twinkle
Make them rev their engines more
Cars shoot off like missiles
They seem to go ballistic
How could they know the road is clear?
Have they fitted in-car mystic?
On the other side the lights now change
To the amber from the green
It’s an automatic speed increase
They pretend they haven’t seen
On the gridlines in the middle
Metal piles up what a shambles
It happens when your luck runs out
If you’re taking amber gambles
