your simple smile and true words
Where should I go in search of humans
in Porbandhar or Sabarmathi
Where can I take in hand the salt
of freedom emerged from the
shores of Dandi....
Where can I see kindness
when wisdom is only a pretend
of power to distort and demean
Where can I find Bapuji
your sanctity of straight vision
wherein a world paints hues of choice
on Dharma, blackened truth
disfifgured and kept on a pyre
to burn and die
Where can I find you Bapuji...
your simple wisdom which really
justifies the word wisdom...
