'Tis that time of the daybreak,
That perfectly balanced space,
Wedged somewhere between
The blackness of time,
Of night so dark
And full of fears,
And the moment when
The sun chooses to reappear,
Bringing with it life, and warmth,
And hope for another day.
The sun slips over the crest
Of the distant blue hillsides,
Spotlighting the dew-drenched grass,
Making rainbows on the ground,
And diamonds that shimmer
On leaves, and fruit which hangs
Low and heavy to the darkness of earth,
Bringing forth the farmer from his barn
To face another Harvest Dawn.
