Sometimes we want to run away,
Cuz we feel there's no reason to stay.
But You're always there to pick us up when we've fallen
Always listening when we're desperately calling
You always keep us in the light,
To keep the fire inside us burning bright
Lord show me the light,
I'm giving up this fight
I don't wanna resist You anymore
For You are rich but we are poor,
For we are weak but You are strong
I've been away from You for way too long
So show me the light
When we feel overcome with darkness
You reach through us and fill us with gladness.
You don't care where we've fallen or where we have been
You're always there to clean away all our sin
There is so much we have yet to learn.
So point us in the right direction in which to turn
The path might not be the easiest to follow
But stay close to God and He'll show you where you need to go
Let Him show you
Lord show me the light
