A yellow-belly proud to be
Its Lincolnshire I’m from you see
There many a thousand just like me
Where Lincoln Imps smile happily
Years gone by they tried to change her
Our borders they did rearrange her
But Humberside just sounded stranger
A lost identity the danger
Up in arms the votes were cast
This Humberside must never last
We pinned our colours to the mast
Return the Bellies from the past
Once again the public tried
Change back our borders can’t abide
The imps don’t like your Humberside
When Lincolnshire returned they cried
At last we made the councils see
It’s Lincolnshire we want to be
For Yellow-Bellies just like me
Where we can all live happily
