Oh, how I love to go back
A hundred years or more
When my ancestors lived
Reliving famous folklore
Tombstone tales I have heard
Almost gives me chills
As though I were back in time
Roaming those red dirt hills
Living in an old log cabin, perhaps
With teepees all around
Or sleeping in the open skies
With natures wild sounds
With a big ole’ pot of beans
Simmering on the fire
It’s a feeling that I doubt
That I would ever tire
If you want to try that kind of life
Back so many years ago
Go to Fort Reno, my friend
Where the past gently flows!
