Sitting At
Home
In a
Red chair-
When lo!
Outside
My window
Flies by
(For a brief
Bit of
Time)
A bundle
Of
Bright balloons,
Their twirling
Tails
Gliding
By briskly-
In an
Open
Obtrusive Air.
I wonder
If I’m
The sole
Soul which
Saw these
Balloons
Swift serenade
In the
Breeze,
And beauty
Was so
Kind to
Grace me
With her
Open
Heart
For
A
Fast-Fleeting
Speck
Of time,
In the
Form
Of balloons
Bent gently
Against
The sky.
Now
In my
Mind,
I ascend
With them.
-And never return.
