To sleep alone again.
For just one more night
Help me keep the monsters away,
And help me fall awake
When I am asleep,
And the monsters creep
Again into my room,
Trying to take my heart
And my soul.
Help me keep those lurking creatures
Away for just one more day.
Take me into Your loving arms,
Keep me safe from nighttime harm,
Help me awake to another day,
I pray.
Heal the hurts of my being here,
And the fact that he is gone.
Teach me to stand on my own,
And help me sleep alone.
