On that New Year's Day,
Something tragic came our way,
Nothing that was expected,
Nothing that was even suspected.
In God's path you walk,
Watching over us as a hawk.
Every day you are remembered,
Of the way you wore your hair,
The clock on your wrist,
And the way we gave you a kiss.
You'll never be forgotten, while on my mother's mind,
It's somthing that just won't go away,
But maybe in time.
We'll hold our head high,
For the love in which you have.
Oh grandma, just don't forget,
We'll be seeing you.
