Maybe we tire of the world,
Maybe it tires of us,
To soon the glitter fades to gray,
And want replaces wonder.
Somewhere along the path
We lose the reasons
For our journey;
Searching for love
We get lost among the shortcuts,
Lost among
The easy flowing freeways of lies
Where eventually our trust
Dead ends into rejection.
But, if we could find
The path to truth,
Shining as golden wheat
In a field of virgin cotton,
Then we could follow it
Past the shortcuts,
And arrive,
At Love.
