As my shade walks the halls of hallowed dead
Remembering my life with studied dread
I see the girls at quiet play and wish to forever stay
But fear drives me from the silent way
Anguish at the approach of day
So from where lay a shadow's tracks
I watch the girls lay upon their backs
And remember the dreaded day
When all was merry and all was gay.
